Pelvic Floor Recovery Post-birth
PregActive’s Women’s Health Physiotherapist Beth Scott discusses Postnatal Pelvic Floor Recovery.
Did you know that the muscles in your pelvic floor become stretched during pregnancy and birth? As a result, the weight of your baby, hormones that loosen your tissues, and the efforts of labour all put pressure on this part of your body.
When your pelvic floor is weakened, you may leak wee (stress incontinence).
But with the right postnatal pelvic floor recovery exercises, you can regain control of your bladder and bowel after your baby’s birth. Watch this important video with Beth and you will get on track to re-gaining trust in your body again to function how you want it to!
